Any ladies have a complete previa and c-section story? Is it any different when the placenta was covering the cervix in terms of bleeding and recovery? I know the placenta makes an open wound after removed in your uterus so just wondering if you bled more or less or if you even know... thanks in advance
Re: Previa C-sections
I had complete previa with my daughter. They prepped me with an extra IV(with a gigantic needle!) incase I needed a transfusion but I didn't. They told me I lost more blood then normal, but all I needed were iron pills after delivery. I had a vaginal birth with my son so I don't have anything to compare the recovery with.
Good luck!
I just had a c-section with my first pregnancy 3 weeks ago. I was scheduled for the cs at 37 weeks but ended up having my 4th bleed while in the hospital (had been in there for a week after my 3rd) and had the cs at 36 wks and 3 days. I also had 2 IV ready one for fluids the other in case of bleeding. Thankfully the placenta came out easily with minimal bleeding. Recovery so far has been good. The incision has never really hurt just a inch or two above the incision seems to be the most bothersome. I'm told it's normal something about the nerves coming back. I would say minimal bleeding also.
Hope this helps.
