I know of a baby boy who was recently given this name.  I don't get it.  Is it really a name?  I just think of Triganometry (sp?)

It's Sarah Palin's youngest child's name - but I still really don't think of it as a name at all, I kind of hate all of the Palin names (Bristol, Willow, Todd, Track, Tripp...)

I love the name Sarah, though.

I have a friend named Trygve (which is pronounced like "Trig") who is from Norway. It is a legit Scandanavian name, and I can see why an English speaker might morph it into Trig.

But I suspect most Americans naming their kids Trig were inspired by Trigg Palin. Either that or the general trend of gun/weapon names.

I don't like it.  Should have named him Sin.  It is a good name, Sin (sorry inside Trigonometry joke.)

I have a friend whose last name is Trigg. It's an odd first name.

Sarah Palin annoys me...on many levels. She also gives one of my favorite names a bad wrap, just because she insist on using it to incorrectly describe herself..

Her son's full first name is just Trig, but I'm pretty certain that trigger is the inspiration for the name. They are very big into hunting.

My H has an uncle named Tryg, short for Trygve. He's in his 40s.  Not sure where his Grandma got the name, but just proof that it's been around well before Sarah Palin's Trig.

Not a fan. It makes me think of Trigger and I hate violent names for babies.

As a result it also makes me think of Roy Rogers' horse.  Who want's the same NN as a horse?

And then there is the whole SP association.  

All around a horrible name IMO.

I always think of the math subject too! I hate math!

I like most of Sarah Palin's kids names, they are kind of quirky, IMO. Though I don't care for her.
