Are these bags really significantly better than Medela bags? I like that I can pump directly into the Medela bags. To use the Lansinoh bags, I would need to pump into the regular Medela bottles rather than the collection ones (which we don't particularly like for feeding) and then pour into the bag since I get more than the collection bottles can hold. If LO doesn't eat directly from me, I typically pump 4-5oz per side.
Are the bags worth that trouble? Are there other solutions?

Re: Lansinoh storage bags
Since I can't tell exactly how much is in a bag (I don't find the markings all that accurate), I prefer to pump into a bottle and then do a measured pour into the bag. Also, since I freeze the leftovers at the end of the week, I use fewer bags overall as some of the milk is used for daycare bottles during the week.
You can also buy 8oz collection bottles if you find the 5oz ones too small.
At work we have this tiny fridge and it has to fit lunches as well as my milk so I exclusivley use the bags since the bottles would take up so much room plus I had a few leaks with the bottles when people knocked them around in the fridge. I love love the Lansinoh. They store flatter, they seal easier and much better than the Medela bags. Pouring into or out of a bottle is a little harder and takes some practice, but over all I love them. I easily store 8-10 oz in each bag.I collect in the skinny Medela bottles and then just pour into the bags. You just have to get the mouth of the collection bottle over those high sides on the mouth of the bag. I usually pump a bag or 2 of milk for the next day's feed and freeze the rest.
All of this.
I have used two different pumps, and with both have pumped into Lansinoh bags exclusively. I use a hair tie to keep the on the pump. They have never fallen off - I even pump hands free when I drive and have no spillage. I am too lazy to pump into bottles and wash them all the time.

Just an FYI...bottle markings are not always accurate. you should actually check them against a reliable kitchen measuring cup. i have various brands and they are ALL wrong on some measurements.
