I personally love a woven wrap - but there's not really a one best answer to your question! My siggy link has some pros and cons of each type that might help you pick.
I plan to buy a ring sling and a mei tai for this LO. I didn't get into BWing until DD was older. I had a Moby when she was a newborn but didn't like the stretchy-ness. I bought a ring sling when she was 10mos old and love it but it's linen and I just don't feel like is soft enough for a newborn. I'm also going to try out a mei tai. I figure it's a good starter until I decide to invest in a woven wrap. I will also buy an Ergo but not until after this LO is big enough to not need the infant insert.
Currently going through our second deployment. Can't wait for Zoe to meet her daddy!
I like a ring sling for newbies. Mine is a maya wrap. Once my monster sized baby was around 6 weeks, I moved to a Mei Tai and Beco Gemini. The gemini has been my favorite. Just for reference, this LO was 9lb1oz and 21 inches at birth, 12lb at 1 month, and 14.5lb at 7 weeks.
I loooooved our Moby for the nb stage, but I just ordered my first woven wrap and I am super excited for that.
My go-to carrier with my son was pretty much the Ergo after he outgrew the Moby. Pregnant, the easiest for me to use is my Babyhawk for a back carry. But again, looking forward to trying my first woven wrap for that too.
I used a MT to start with and then at 3 months DH started to use an Ergo.
This time around I have a bigger stash and I'm looking forward to using my ring slings and wovens for a NB, I've only ever used my RS for hip carries so I'm looking forward to trying nursing in it
I'm a ring slinger at heart so I've been using a natibaby with DS 11 days old today. My go to sling is normally a psling but its not really practical for a newb bc it's set and forget and a super wide... So nati it is...
I also have a moby which I hate as well as a BNIB Storch Leo but I don't see myself using a wrap at this stage mainly bc I love the RS.

I am loving the k'tan for the newborn stage.
I have an Ergobaby. Is it worth going out to get the newborn insert, or just getting some kind of wrap or something that'll be almost the same price?
