Did you get a lot of heat about naming your daughter? I had that name written down when I was expecting but SO veto'ed it. I absolutely love it though (even though there are tons of people that would say "that's a boys name!!")

Yup. Everyone is going to think I lived under a rock (and, well, I pretty much did) but I had no idea when I named my daughter Mary Jane that it was a nickname for marijuana ? no joke. I got a lot of grief from family when we announced the name. We were team green and the name was on the birth certificate before we told anyone. My husband said he knew and just assumed I did and didn't care, like him. I love and adore the name still, and it suits her perfectly, but I doubt I would have been able to go through with it had I known its history beforehand.

Hahahaha! That's funny! I was actually posting for the user under the name "That.Just.Happened".....her daughter's name is Everett Jane....so I was asking if she got heat for it before or after her daughter was born.
