I think Pierce is supposed to be the proper spelling, although it might actually even be Piers?? I'm not sure but I know that Pierce is the one most often seen. Pearce just looks like pears to me lol, although I'm sure it does get used.

Pierce is a variant of Piers, but both are acceptable spellings. I think Piers is more common in the UK than it is here.
OP, Pierce is definitely the better spelling. I really love this name.

My DS is Pierce. It is ranked in the 400s of the SSA list. Pearce is not in the top 1000 so I would say Pierce is definitely more mainstream/common. Piers is not ranked either but definitely legit and common in the UK.
