How do you say 'meme'

So I have never really had a reason to say this word out loud in conversation. But in my head I say it like "mem" (like men, with an 'm' instead of 'n') A host on the radio program I listen to in the morning kept saying it like "meem" (rhymes with beam) today. What is right?

    It's weird because my niece, nephew and cousins kid call me "Mimi," but my cousin spells it "Meme."

    I can see how people would think it's meme if they speak French (meme with an accent that I am too lazy to find right now = same).

    It's meem, though.
