Re: kettlebell challenge

  • I don't know this specific challenge, but I love kettlebells.  I've taken kettlebell classes, and its a hell of a workout - cardio & weights all in one, very efficient!  I also do crossfit, and we use kettlebells often, and those workouts are short & intense - perfect for busy moms!  Its actually one of my favorite workouts.  I DEFINITELY feel it in my legs and core.  I would recommend you take a class first to learn the proper way to swing.  The power all comes from your legs, and I'd hate for you to injur your back or shoulders by swinging incorrectly.

If they weren't so darn expensive, I'd love to buy a full set for the house and do a quick workout in the mornings.

This - kettlebells are a fantastic tool, but be sure that your form is set before you go hog-wild. It's really incredible how easy it can be to hurt yourself if you aren't careful.
