DS's bus driver told me today that he is "the best kid on the bus." We are the last house on the route so, of course, no other kids heard this.

The driver said he is so polite and well behaved.  He asks her every day if she is happy to see him when he gets on the bus.  What he actually says is, "Yoopee ee mee?" Which I translated as "You happy to see me?" on the first day.

Every day when DS gets off the bus, he tells her "T'anks for ride!"   She said he is just so sweet.

I am so glad to hear this, I am so glad he is engaging with strangers because lately he has become frustrated with people not understanding him, he seems to "write people off" if they don't understand him right away.  We're using the bus as a reward for good behavior in school and I 've been nervous that he would get kicked off the bus for bad behavior, thus negating my school bribe.  I am so so so happy today!
