S+TM's and 17p?

I'm not entirely sure if this is the appropriate place for this post, but I am looking for some personal experiences with 17P.  DS1 was born at 35 weeks, when I unexpectedly started leaking AF.  This time around, I've been on 17P.  Since 30 weeks, I've been to L and D twice for contractions and given meds to stop them.  This didnt happen with DS1. 

Lately I've been reliving my bith experience with DS over and over.  I just dont necessarily feel like I can trust anything anymore, and that DS2 is likely to come earlier than DS1.  I want nothing more than to deliver a healthy baby and us to share a room in the hospital for 2 days and then all of us go home.  I'm really starting to psych myself out about all the potential problems that could arise. 

If you had a preemie, and then subsequent pregnancies used 17P...when did you deliver?  How did the process go?

Just wanted to let you know that I'm in a similar boat. I delivered DS 1 at 24 weeks, currently pregnant with second and on 17p since 16 weeks. I've already had 2 trips for labor and delivery (1 for contractions, 1 for suspect discharge that turned out not to be my water leaking, thank goodness). I have a cerclage, too, and I'm really hoping these 2 precautions will get me to a full term baby.

I'm also approaching the gestational age when I was first hospitalized with DS 1 and when he was born and am finding myself with some increased anxiety, worry, fear, ... I'm going to counseling which is helping but it still creeps up unexpectedly.

You're not alone. I'm hoping we both go full term with these second kiddos! Good Luck!

PS...I think I may have seen you on high risk... if not, you might want to post there as there are many 17p'ers over there.

I am also in your boat. I delivered my son at 29 and 6 after 2 weeks of hospital bedrest. I had either IC or preterm labor or both... they are not sure. I have been on 17P since 16 weeks and am now at 21. I am just hoping more than anything for a take home baby! I totally get the worry and anxiety. I get so nervous and upset before my appointments ( every 2 weeks) and I am just sure they will tell me that baby is coming early. It has not happened yet, and I am hoping I am dead wrong. sorry i can't offer more info.

My first was born at 33 weeks and I had my second at 34 weeks. I was on 17p from 16 weeks until 34 weeks. I ended up going into L&D two times before my contractions could not be stopped. I prayed to make it to 37 weeks, but it seem that my body had other plans. DD#2 was born at 34w 5d and spent 14 days in the NICU.

I had ds at 34 weeks due to prom no issues before that. I had 17p this time from 16 36 weeks. I was in ld 3 times and admitted once at 32 weeks. I was convince that this lo was going to be early and I was preparing for another nicu stay. However I'm now almost 37 weeks and I'm now looking forward to a take home baby.
