Help with toddler Converse sizing

So Kate is finally walking, and now I get to buy shoes!  Yay.  I want to get her some black Converse, but I'm clueless about sizing.  She's in 5.5 wide Stride Rites right now.   Should I get the 6?  Thanks!

I think they supposedly run long/big but Jackson wears a 7/7.5 in most shoes and I got him a 7 in converse and that works perfectly for him.  They're narrow, so I think it's okay if they're a little big - I'd probably get the 6.

I would go try them on.  They seemed to run really big for Maddie.  When she measured a 6.5 the 6 was still big.

They do run big.  DS wears a 9/9.5 in most shoes, and his converse are a size 8.

I agree with they run big, but they are also narrow. DS is just growing out of his size 5 converse, and all his other 5s were gone long ago
