My Mom mentioned this name last night. Her coworker named her daughter that. Thoughts and opinions . . . . I don't think I've ever heard it for a girl before.

I like it in theory but when I say it out loud it sounds like Emily is being mispronounced.

The proper spelling is Emery but I don't like it at all, boy or girl.

I think its okay for both a boy and a girl. I actually like it better on a girl. It's a nice name.

Friends of ours have a DD named Emmery, she's very close to my DD's age and her name has become one of DD's favorite words. It's still nms though.

Yep, but in the "olden days" both Emory and Emery were appropriate spellings.  If you search the ssa.gov site https://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/#ht=1 both versions rank under 300 in popularity from 1880 onward and gradually decline throughout the years. 

My younger son is Emery.  It's a boys name!  It's an old man name.

For a girl, I don't like it at all.

Emmry is a bad spelling for either sex.

Emmry is terrible. Emery for boy/girl is ok. YMMV with ANY name ever.

All the Emery's I know are girls! Personally I think it sounds more feminine, maybe because it's so close to Emily..

My grandfather (b. 1902) was named Emory, and it's my father's legal name (he was born 1943). I cannot get behind this name, or Emery, for girls.

Emmry is an awful spelling, and Emery makes me think of a nail file.
