So earlier in the week I told my Mom off for saying something about DH.  At the time she said it, I let her.  The next day I called her and told her it bothered me.  We haven't talked since, that was 4 days ago.  Just now I told off my Grandfather's GF.  Grandfather is in the middle east - rebuilding.  He has been there for a year, I have not talked to him since he left.

 *Side note.  He was married to my maternal Grandmother, he is not my bio Grandfather, but has been there since I was born. 

She is bitching about how she misses him on FB.  In the same post she is inviting her friends down to the lake house.  The "lake house"  (which we never called it), my Grandmother and Grandfather built together.  She wants him to get rid of all my Grandmother's stuff and such.  My Grandmother died of cancer 14 (!) years ago.  I can't get over it.  Am I being irrational?  Be honest - FYI:  I've been drinking...

I don't thinking you are over reacting, it sounds like you mom is trying to get rid of your grandmother's stuff. It would bother me too, makes me feel like she is trying to throw away the memories. Doesn't make sense. Hugs honey

Good for you for standing up to your mom.  

Photos, art work, the beds,  pretty much everything.  The thing is Grandpa has had many GFs while he has been with this lady, but she doesn't know.  It's not my place to tell her, but I want to punch her in the face!

I don't think you're reacting about your Grandfather's GF.  It's really up to your Grandfather to take care of that stuff.

I'd recommend indulging in some chocolate, or something else yummy to pick you up.  Reese's pumpkins are out for Halloween!  

ETA: Or maybe some more yummy beverages.
