Ergo question- possibly dumb!

I wore Lauren in the Ergo for the first time in a few months this evening. It's been a hot summer but luckily she still loved it!

Here's my question: She's pretty dang tiny for 6 months (though she seems huge to us!). Can I still use the infant insert? I put her in it tonight but didn't buckle it closed or anything, it was mostly just to boost her up to the right height. She seemed comfortable. Is that okay? She seemed super comfortable. I had her high up enough that her arms were both totally free, she likes to grab my face.

I feel like she needs the boost up and also her core strength is not fantastic.

There's no harm in using it, but you could also just use the pillow in the bottom (is it detachable? I never had the insert) or put a folded up blanket down there to boost her up a bit.

The pillow is detachable. I'd try that.

I only EVER used the pillow.  It's perfect for what you're describing!

The pillow is detachable? The heart to heart insert right? I need to look at that again if it is. That would help a lot.

We just stick a folded blanket under my 3 month old's bum so help him sit higher so he can see otu better.

Yes, it pulls out of the little roll up burrito wrap around thingy  (technical terms )
