Did Kcare today for the first time!!

Oh man I just LOVED it!!! I am so happy we are finally able to do it. LO loved it too, she fell asleep right away and stayed sleeping soundly the whole morning. Her nurse got me a reclining chair and pulled our curtain around us and me and my girl just hung out all morning. Seriously the best morning I have ever had!!

Such an amazing feeling! I remember it draining all the energy out of me because I was so relaxed. I hope they let you do it often... It's so good for both of you. Dh also did it some days. I really think it helped them bond quickly.

I remembered my own excitement in doing Kcare for the first time in reading just your subject line :-)  So happy you got to do it and had a great experience!  It really was the best part about his NICU stay...I lived for those moments!!  Enjoy!

I love Kangaroo Care!  I remember how wonderful it felt when we did it in the NICU. Also, don't stop doing it when you eventually get home!

Kangaroo time is the best! It's what I look forward to every day! All the NICU nurses tell me they really do see a dramatic difference in babies who are kangarooed more by their parents, so keep it up!
