UGH...DH vent.

Tonight is Parent's night at DS's preschool.  They recommended that we try to keep the kids at home if possible.  DH didn't feel like hiring a sitter for just an hour, so he said we would just bring the kids and if one or both acted up, he would just take them out.  I just got a text from him saying that he switched into a shift that would end after Parent's Night is over.  Meaning, I'll have to bring both kids myself right around DD's bedtime, when I know she will be Miss Crankypants.  My sitter already had plans for tonight, so she can't come and we don't live near any family. Ugh. I am shamelessly going to bring a big bag of lollipops (at least it's the all natural kind).

  • That doesn't sound like fun. I hope the lollipops work.
  • I'm sorry.  I'd be p!ssed too.  There is nothing shameless about bringing lollipops.  Sometimes you have to do what you need to do to survive ;)

Then they should think about providing childcare for the event.

Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.
