So I was curious, after seeing the post yesterday about when women went into labor, who had hit the 24 pounds in 24 weeks mark. I wanted to see informally if you could tie the two together since hitting that weight gain is supposed to prevent PTL. So I want to know if you hit that mark AND whether you had PTL! : D Thanks!
Re: Curious
My doctor had said it does help prevent.
I also found this link talking about it https://www.americanpregnancy.org/multiples/weightgain.html
I have only gained 12 pounds so far at 21 weeks, so I do not think I will be hitting this mark. I am trying to gain steadily though, so fingers crossed for no PTL!
I agree. I don't think gaining X amount of weight can help prevent PTL. I didn't have PTL but did deliver at 28 wks and was at least +24lbs and 24 wks. I had gained 45 lbs by the time I delivered and one was still IUGR/SGA.
