Are there activities/trips/things you are looking forward to doing with LO this fall?
I LOVE the fall and am looking forward to lots of short trips and outings. DS loves trains and cars and planes so we're heading down to this Railroad Amusement park (small rides, train rides, kids playhouse etc) in MA - it's about an hour from us. There are also lots of small farms around here for apple picking - there are 2 that we love and they have Apple/Pumpkin picking, Petting zoos, climbing & playing spaces. And I'm kind of excited see DS play in the leaves. Also Halloween is huge in my neighborhood - we probably won't go trick or treating but I think we could do a walk with his wagon in his costume.
What are you looking forward to?
Re: Fall 2012
We always do a pumpkin patch/hayride at the orchard with the girls. There's a petting zoo and face painting and all that jazz there.
We'll pull Cate in a wagon while the big girls Trick or Treat. They are all being princesses (Rapunzel, Aurora & Cinderella).
We are also going on our first family trip to Disney World in November (where we can re-use those costumes!). I can't wait for that!

I won't eat regular donuts but I'll drive hours for a good cider donut.
We will hit up the apple orchards for sure. I deffinitely want to take her to a fun pumpkin patch. I will have to do some research for this. All the ones around us are generic. LA county fair this month. I want to do a hay ride and a hay maze for sure too. LOL!

We're going to a Balloon Glow/Race on Friday. We're also going to do pumpkin picking in October. I'd love to go Apple picking, but I always waste the apples!
We have 4 30th birthdays this fall, and an 80th, plus a family wedding, so a lot of our time will be spent doing that stuff.
Love, love, love the Fall!
Every year, we go to the apple orchard with my entire family (which is pretty big) and the pumpkin patch. We also go to some state parks in the mountains and spend the day outside.
DH and I also enjoy doing a lot of things just as our own little family. Our favorite thing to do is going to local fairs and festivals. We love the food, the local artwork, crafts, etc. We also make a small trip or two to the pumpkin patch as just us.
We go ALL out for Halloween at our house. We put up pumpkin inflatables in the yard, gravestones (but nothing scary), caution tape, giant spiders, and orange and purple lights in all the bushes and tress. Our neighbor always tries to out-do us every year, and he and my husband have a bit of a friendly/not so friendly competition. Ha. We always center our theme around "classic" Halloween- pumpkins, ghosts, witch in the tree, orange lights, etc. The neighbor always does ghosts and purple lights.
We have already starting put up the decorations inside the house. I have a ton of fun themed recipes/treats to make, and are probably going to start having an annual Halloween party for the kiddos.
I can't wait to take her to the pumpkin patch and apple picking. My birthday is on Halloween and I have always loved this time of year.
I am hoping that by Halloween she is walking so that she can go through the maze and other acitvities they have.
This Saturday we will be driving down to Southern California for a whole week!! I get to see my family and meet 3 new baby girls
My brother had a girl and two of my really good friends had girls too! We will be going to the LA County fair, atleast we plan to, and I get to go baby girl clothes shopping with one of my best friends, and get to have a girls night with my other best friends
I just really get to spend time with people that I love! I miss home.
We also plan on going to a pumpkin patch for Halloween, we live in Utah now and they have really nice pumpkin patches and corn mazes and all that stuff. I'm not quite sure what we'll do on Halloween, my company has a trunk or treat thing they do but we may just take her in a wagon around the neighborhood. We were planning on going to Monterrey for Thanksgiving, just the 3 of us and getting a little beach house and going to the aquarium and stuff but we may just stay here and rent a small cabin out. For Christmas we are planning a big trip to San Diego to go to the San Diego Zoo, Wild Animal Park, and Sea World. I really wanted a Disneyland trip but DH thinks that Alexis is too small to appreciate it so he thinks she would like the Zoo better. I think she'd love it either way so
I actually don't know what kind they are, I just know I could eat a whole dozen by myself!
They're probably either cider or apple-cinnamon.
We're moving to WA next weekend and this is the first time in YEARS that I'll get to live somewhere that actually has fall. I'm looking forward to us all going to a pick your own pumpkin patch, corn mazes, and fall festivals. There is nothing like that in FL where we currently live. I can't wait for cooler weather and the fall foliage!
I also just got an evite for a Halloween cupcake decorating party. That should be fun!
