c/s moms who got infections.

I have bright red splotches around under my incision that are oozing discharge like goop and are very painful..

 

For other c/s ladies who got infections, how did yours start?

I had a red corner, tenderness, more pain all the sudden and that area felt hard. I went to the OB in the AM
And got started on antibiotics by mouth. At 8pm that night my wound opened up slightly and started pouring fluid. I went to the ER and they opened my entire incision.

Do you have a fever? If so, I would head to the ER. If not, call your OB first thing in the AM.

The area around my incision turned red, and was warm and tender to the touch. My incision was open in 2 spots and was leaking blood/pus.

This was similar to me.  It was just one side of the incision but it was leaking pus and was red, warm, and painful.

My incision became infected almost immediately.  I was in the hospital and my steri-strips kept falling off because of all of the green and yellow liquid seeping out.  They opened my incision back up the day I was discharged and everything looked very inflamed.  I developed a fever, was given antibiotics, and had a homecare nurse come to my home daily.  Within 48 hours the infection was under control and all of the symptoms had subsided.
