S/O Circumcision: How do you feel about peens?

Every time the circumcision question comes up and people mention not wanting their sons to be different or feel odd one way or the other, it always makes me wonder how women really feel about penises (other than their sons')! 

I've seen them both, and wasn't really bothered either way. It never struck me as weird to see either an uncirc'ed or circ'ed penis--they all look different anyway. The idea that someone could be thrown off by it being circumcised or not is just strange to me, but I guess some people do feel that way. I mean, just that the humor exists in TV/movies, etc, suggests that it can be kind of a big deal for people. 

I guess I'm just wondering--how do you feel about it and why?

No, I lied--I can understand if it's a cultural or religious norm to circumcise or specifically not, that encountering something outside of that norm would be a notable experience. But for me, I mean, I don't even know if my brother or Dad are or not; it never came up, so it clearly wasn't a big discussion in my family.

I've only played with one uncircumcised one in my life. It was definitely a bit different.

I don't know I just always though uncircumcised peens were ugly .. lmao..

Of course that's not the only reason why my son will be circumcised.

It's no big deal, looks wise. But we chose not to circumcise.

I have no experience with uncirc'd weens, but I don't think it would bother me.  Whether or not there's foreskin is not the most important quality in a wiener, IMO

I never saw an uncircumsized penis until I saw DS's.  In almost 38 years.  When I first saw DS's I was seriously like "oh yeah, I forgot about that".  LOL!

I've seen both. SO is circumcised and his peen looks a lot nicer than the uncirc'd peen I've seen. It honestly looked like a bag of skin. Ew.

We did circumcise our DS but I left the decision up to SO.

I've seen both and neither bother me. I have more experience with circ'd guys, but we never even seriously considered circ'ing DS. I did research just in case, but we both felt very strongly against it from the beginning.

I understand some people have religious or cultural reasons to do it, some people believe there is a health reason to do it. However, I really don't get the "looking like dad" argument. I just don't think there will be a time in my son's life when he is going to be paying that much attention to his dad's penis that it will matter. I asked DH if he ever paid that much attention to his dad's and he doesn't remember it if it happened.

I also asked DH about locker room stuff, since that is another thing I've heard a lot: to circ because "everyone else will be" (although that isn't even true anymore in most parts of this country...it is a lot more of a mix with this new generation). He said that guys survive locker rooms by NOT paying attention to each other's penises.

Yeah, never thought of the uncircumcised ones as ugly. Certainly, and while I'm obviously biased, I think very highly of MH's uncirc'ed one

I agree with Sparty--there are more important attributes IMO!

My HS boyfriend was not circumcised, and the only thing about it that bothered me was that it tended to stink.  He had good hygiene, and there was just always a certain stench about it.

I've seen them both, and eh, I don't really care. DH is circ'ed and I think my aesthetic preference is circ'ed but that's really probably just because I love DH, you know?

However, we're not circumcising. DH was for it at first and thought it was a good choice aesthetically...only to then think that personal preferences for aesthetics wasn't a good enough reason for surgery on a newborn.

DH did say he wasn't looking forward to the day when our LO asks him why they look different, but he did point out that boys are curious about that stuff when they're little. By the time they're older and self-conscious, everyone's avoiding looking at each other's peens anyway. And for me, it doesn't really matter that he won't look like DH because when he's little and curious, he's going to be asking me why he and I don't look alike anyway. haha.

Very thankful DH is cut.

I have only been with two guys and both were circed. I have seen a non cut peen though and itdoesn't bother me. If baby is a boy we are circing but not because I think it looks better

We are doing mainly for the health and hygiene benefits, but also for cultural reasons. I don't have a problem with uncircumcised penises, but its definitely not what I'm used to seeing. Though aesthetics alone is not a good enough reason IMO to circumcise.
