We are having ds1's birthday party today. It's outdoors and at a park. The weather has been so sucky here, rainy since yesterday. The party is this afternoon and the hourly forecast says it should stop by then. The high is only 65 though. I don't know what I should do with my LO. He's only a month old, should I bundle him up to take him to the party? Or my other option is my mom offered to stay home with him but I hate for her to miss my sons party. I just don't know if 65 will be too cold for LO

Re: Quickwhat would you do??
My older DD just turned 4. We had her party at a bowling alley because I didn't want all the kids in the house. My mom & dad stayed home with LO. We then had a little party with them later that day.
In your situation, the party is outdoors, so I think that the LO could come to the party. However, one thing to think about: is it better for your older kid to just be the focus at the birthday party? If you bring the baby, everyone will want to touch and see the baby. That could increase your stress level because of the germ factor and it could detract from you older child's birthday. I found that it was nice for DD to not need to "share" the attention at her birthday since her life's been so changed in the last 2 months as it is.
