My hubby works shift work, so he is not always off on weekends. I keep our schedule and do what needs to be done. This weekend, he went golfing yesterday while we went to a playdate & helped man a rummage sale, today he went grouse hunting and I am taking the girls to soccer. Tomorrow we will all go watch football at his sister's house.
DH works swing shift so I concider my weekends to be whatever days he is off. I try to get everything done on the days that he is working or sleeping so that we can do something on his breaks. He has a 7 day break every month along with his normal 1 or 3 or 4 day breaks between shift changes so we usually try to plan some sort of family event then.IE, vacations, shopping trips, museums, etc.
This weekend he is working day shift on both days so I will be cleaning, doing laundry, running DS1 to soccer tomorrow, etc. Once he's done with this stretch, he has his 7 days off so we'll be taking the kids to a local amusement park after DS1 gets home from school one day and going to the science center on another.
I would say more busy then laid back. We usually have at least something going on. We make it a habit to go around for a run on the weekend mornings. Then rest of the weekend we just wing it..which usually means we end up doing things. But once a while we have those weekends where we don't do anything.

We try to plan something family oriented on Saturdays, now that DD is more fun to have in public. And then Sundays are for relaxing, cleaning up, and preparing for the coming week.
All of that may change when the weather gets nasty though. So we will see.
Saturday is our "activity" day. Meaning sports, etc. or some kind of family fun event. Sunday is Church. We don't schedule anything on Sundays as we're in Church all morning, stay for coffee hour and Sunday school and that takes up a large part of the day. Sundays are laid-back.

We usually have 1 of each. One busy day where we're running around taking the kids places/running errands/etc, then one day at home where we veg out, take walks around our neighborhood to the playground, get projects done around the house--stuff like that.
DH usually goes out Friday or Saturday night with friends. The other night we hang out together. Saturdays we usually have at least 1 party or event to go to as a family. Sundays are more laid back, sometimes we go to my parents house to visit, work in the yard, go shopping for something we need/want for the house, etc. Sometimes we just take DD to the park for an hour and hang out the rest of the day.
It depends on the weekend, but usually we are pretty busy. I love when we have weekends where we don't have to go anywhere.
I can get alot done around the house and we can stick to a routine. I love the weekends, having DH home is awesome. He does footbal officiating and baseball umpiring, so its a treat to have him home on the weekends. We try to spend as much family time as we can together.
We are usually busy. My FI works 2 Saturdays on and 1 off. So on the weekends that he works Saturdays I keep a normal routine and do whatever I have scheduled and then we cram family time and whatever else into Sunday. On the rare weekends he doesnt work on Saturday we try to get everything done on Saturday and then relax on Sunday. But there is always usually some sort of family get together going on every weekend.

Super laid back. Normally I don't bump but our Pastor just called DH to help him hang a new handrail at church. They are re-doing the foyer. I'm watching Once Upon A Time while DD naps :-) Every now and then we have a busy weekend but typically we just hang out at home or take a walk to the park or something.
ETA:We do go to church on Sunday morning and sometimes to lunch after but there's no stressful business involved. I guess sometimes I get a little panicky if we're running late but that doesn't last more than a few minutes
The man can't sit still. If we have nothing planned, he will find something to do. lol
We have church every Sunday morning, but even that is laid-back... no dressing up or anything. It's a small church, so it feels more like we're going to hang out with friends than it does your stereotypical church experience.
I'd say half and half. We laze around in the mornings, and then spend afternoon/evenings running errands or visiting family. Between me SAH and DH working from home 90% of the time, we like to get out of the house and do stuff together, even if it is just grocery shopping.
Weekends are family time in various forms. We don't do a ton of fun activities during the week, so that is what the weekend is for. OR seeing whoever comes to visit us (I feel like EVERYONE has come to visit lately) and spending time with them. They usually feel busy to me.

Re: how do you spend your weekends?
Our weekends are usually laid back. DH is a homebody so he likes to stay home, especially during the summer.
This weekend all that we have going on is a picnic this afternoon.
ETA: sorry for the format. Posting from my phone.
