Maternity Shoot Location Suggestions...

We most likely have a photographer that will do our maternity photo shoot for us, but we really can't figure out a location for the shoot. My problem is that I really don't want it to look like "Arizona". Nothing too desert looking. I also really want something that looks like "Fall" if at all possible. I am due in early November and really want to do my shoot later this month if we can agree on a date and time. I don't want it to look like hot and sunny Arizona, when I will likely be having a November baby.

Anyway, does anyone know of nice looking places around the valley, or even up north a little ways if we need to, that would look like Fall? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

My photographer did my maternity photos at Scottsdale Civic Center. There were some pretty trees and such there so it wasn't desert like. The only fall like place I can think of is Oak Creek Canyon this time of year.

My friend did some engagement photos at the Phoenix Zoo - - I know that sounds wonky but some were artistic and gorgeous, and some were just fun and quirky. They had a lot of versatility. Good luck!

That is funny because I actually already thought of this as an option. As it wasn't your shoot, you may not know, but do you have an idea if the PHX Zoo would charge any kind of photography fee to do that? Our photographer had a place in mind, buy they charge a $50 photography fee. I know we would have to pay to get all of us IN to the zoo, but I wonder if they would want to charge us a photography fee on top of that?? Just curious.
