I'm scheduled to take my daughter out to visit my parents at the end of September. We'd be gone for about a week and would be flying (with a layover). I've been on the nauseous side and really tired, but otherwise have felt fine.
My mom really doesn't want us to come as she is all worried about me and whether I'd get sick. She keeps saying it would be too much for me. DH thinks I should go as it would be my last chance for awhile to go out there.
If we go, we'd get back on a Thursday, I'd have my CVS on Friday, and would be scheduled to go back to work on Tuesday (but i could always take an extra day if I needed it).
Would you guys go? Has anyone's OB or MFM cautioned them against travel in the first trimester?
Re: Travel or not in 1st tri?
I was told I could travel until the end of my second tri. I would consult your Dr but I don't personally see why you shouldn't. I was told to take Zofran during my flight (prior) and to stay hydrated and move as much as possible. I flew from FL to Chicago for work and didn't have any issues.
Personally, I would go and have fun.
I think it's fine. I was exhausted during first tri, but going to your parent's house isn't exactly like going to Disney World - I would think that you would have lots of time to take it easy and maybe get a little bit of mom and dad pampering!
When I was ten weeks pregnant we moved from DC to New Mexico, and we spent four days driving. Other than being tired I had no issues.
