Just wondering if anyone had any experience with this while pregnant? I am getting congested and would love a good night's sleep with clear nasal passages....I would think it would be fine but just wanted to ask around.
Yes! You can use a clean one or a saline spray. My doctor also said I could take sudafed for my bad congestion, but I would check with your doc before taking any meds yourself.

I used a neti pot all the time during my last pregnancy. I LOVE the neti pot. There have, unfortunately, been some cases of fatal amoeba from neti pot usage recently. It's extremely rare and wouldn't prevent me from using it. But I'd think about boiling the water first, especially if you live in a warm climate or have a questionable water supply.
Oh, neti pot! I'm a singer, so the neti pot has been my BFF for a number of years. Got me through a lot of sicknesses in grad school that I picked up from my private voice students!
You could also try pouring some HOT water into a large bowl, putting a towel over it, then sticking your head under the towel and breathing (like less than ten seconds at a time, always come up for air so you don't get dizzy!!) This is nice if your congestion is beyond the neti pot. It feels so good in the winter when the air is dry and my sinuses are so irritated!
