Middle Name Help

We have started a tradition with our little family of M middle names. I'm Chelsea Marie, my husband is Skyler Melvin (Melvin after his father), our son is Emmery Michael (Michael for my father) and if we have girl her middle name will be Mattie after my maternal great grandmother. My only thing is, I'm stuck on a middle name if we have a boy. I love Gavin and Declan for boys names but can't think of an M middle name. I hesitate on doing one after my FIL because I really don't like Melvin and wonder if he'd be offended if we did Mel. And I also wonder if doing Matt or Matthew in honor of my great grandmother is strange cause its changing from feminine to masculine?? Help haha

I like Matthew and I don't think it's weird at all to use it to honor your grandmother. 

I think Gavin Matthew or Gavin Marshall are great names. ( I prefer Gavin over Declan, even though you didn't ask! )
