Men can be such wusses!

I just had to shake my head at my dad today.

To treat my dad's cancer he has to get a shot of octreotide (its drug that treats the type of cancer he has) once a month, for the rest of his life.

I know this sucks-but when he called me to tell me how it went (I was giving him pointers I learned through doing PIO) he was whining how sore he was, and how slow the medication went in, ect. I was saying that I remembered that. He was like "I hate that I have to do this once a month. How ofter did you have to do your PIO shot?".....Me, "umm, dad, I had to do it every day, and if IVF will ever work I have to keep doing it every day for 10 weeks". He was pretty quiet after that! At least I'm able to give him some tips to help with the soreness!

U/S on 6/8/12 - H/B at 128 BPM; U/S on 6/14/12 @ 9wks-No H/B-D&C on 6/17/12
IVF 2.0- ER 10/17; ET 10/20-One 12 cell, one 10 cell and one 8 cell embryo transfered
BFP!   11/16/12 U/S- Two nuggets with perfect heartbeats! EDD 7/10/13

    Yep, big cry babies!

    Sorry to hear about his cancer, but happy he's being treated and glad you're able to help him out.

    And I hope you have ten weeks of daily PIO in your near future.

    I'm sorry about your Dad's cancer. But, yes, I think a lot of men are terrible babies. My husband included.Sad

    Dx: DOR and MFI

    DH: low count + very low motility; hormones all normal; Sperm DNA Frag. test = poor to fair; male karyotyping normal
    Me: FSH 13.4 + AMH 0.26 + hypothyroidism; Scratch the hypothyrodism (?); Blood clotting and immune panel all negative; endometrial biopsy normal

    IVF #1 (MDLF - Jul/Aug 2011): BFN (9R, 5M, 3F with ICSI, 3dt of 1 10-cell grade 2, no frosties)
    IVF #2 (EP-antagonist - Sep/Oct 2011): BFN (6R, 4M, 3F w/ ICSI, 3dt of 1 6-cell, 1 7-cell, grade 4s, no frosties)
    DE IVF #1 (shared cycle - June 2012): c/p (6R, 6F w/ICSI, 3dt 1 8-cell grade A- and 1 7-cell grade A-; no frosties)
    DE IVF #2 (shared cycle with new donor - Nov/Dec/ 2012): - BFP!!!!! 12/14/12. U/S on 12/27 shows twins!!!!!

    Sorry to hear about your dad. I agree on men being babies though. He will have to do 70 months to equal your 10 weeks! Tell him that one ??

    I have been dying to stab DH in the butt with one of those big @ss needles! I really think they should sell sympathy shots filled with placebo just for IVF ladies to stab their husbands. I would totally buy it :)
