HI everyone-
I am super excited to finally be having my first child, but scared at the same time. DH is 35 and had a 5 yr old daughter from a previous relationship. This past weekend we went camping (not in a tent but a comfy RV) with my whole family and SD. I went to the bathroom Saturday night and I noticed dark brown spotting on the paper. I proceed to think the worst and try to keep myself busy until Tuesday to call my Ob. I call her first thing Tuesday and see her that afternoon. She sends me for a U/S at the hospital. DH works 3 hours from home so he can?t be there with me and the tech takes me in and can?t see anything. She informs me that she will do an internal and low and behold, we have a hb of 111 and Baby E. measures exactly where they should be at 6w2d. I started to cry, it was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my life to date!!!

Over-40 parents...what we lack in vigor, we make up for with cunning.
Whew... big sigh of relief I'm sure! Congrats on your first pregnancy and I hope it all continues to go well.
If you haven't joined the April 2013 forum it's also a good one for support. I'm over there all the time too
Thank goodness for the happy news. That is so stressful having to wait to find out. I am due April 27, and second the comment about the April 2013 board.
