continual discharge like mucus plug?

Hi ladies.  I'm really good at the ftm stupidity questions, so here's another one for ya.  Any reason that i should be concerned that over about 3 days I'm continuing to loose what looks like the mucus plug some that's bright red, some brown, some clear.  Also, I've already been through this before about 2 weeks ago!  After an internal exam I lost my plug for 3 days everytime i went to the restroom.  I'm already 4cm and contractions and cramps are coming a crazy intervals...I feel like i'm missing something?

Sounds like you're about to go into labor. I'm a FTM so I don't know for sure. Bloody show is a good indicator that you're about go into labor. The colored mucous could be from pelvic exams, did you have a pelvic exam within the last few days again?

 It'd be best to call you practitioner and get their opinion but they'll probably want you to wait for you to have regular (semi-regular) contractions for at least 1 hour.

I don't think you should be concerned about losing what looks to be like your mucus plug. However, once the contractions & cramps you're experiencing start becoming timeable in approx 10-7 minute intervals, I would keep a close eye on them & then call your OB when they become closer to 5 min apart.

I have been having thick, yellow discharge for a while now and I keep mentioning it to the docs and they keep saying it's normal.
