Don't do it. It does not taste the same. I made poppyseed chicken last night following a recipe that calls for greek yogurt instead of sour cream. It was not nearly as good. It had a weird tang. H ate it but asked me to cross that recipe off the list for future meals.
DD ate one bite, made a sour face and said "No thanks!". lol
Re: Greek yogurt as a replacement for sour cream
I use just regular plain yogurt as a sub for sour cream and mayo in my food all the time, but not for DH or the boys. I like it.
Very good to know.
Plus I really love sour cream. It's one of my favorite condiments.
It made me really sad. I've read so much about how they taste the same but GY is so much better for you blah blah blah. Shenanigans.
F?cking Oikos propoganda.
Greek yogurt is just nasty TBH. I think I will stick with my Yoplait yogurt, thank you.

Greek yogurt cannot replace sour cream. Because Greek yogurt only strained 50% whey( typ. take about 4 hours) from plain yogurt. If you keep strain plain yogurt for another 4 hours, the most whey will stain out from yogurt, it become yogurt cheese, you can use yogurt cheese to replace your sour cream. visit here to see how to strain your plain yogurt https://www.easy-homemade-yogurt.com/Strain-Yogurt.html
I strain my homemade yogurt many times, I love it, it taste better than sour cream.
This is a little to technical for Pinterest.
Ditto.
