She didn't arrive that perfect way I had planned but she is healthy and we are so in love with her! I was induced on Tuesday around 3:30am and was in labor for 13 hours with the worst back labor! I've never experienced pain like that in my life! I stayed at 9cm for the longest time but she just would not drop. The nurse had me do a couple of pushes to try to encourage her to come down but instead her heart rate dropped so low that I couldn't hear her on the monitor. The next thing I knew the nurse is putting oxygen on me and about 4 other nurses rushed into the room. They had me turning side to side to raise her heart rate! After what seemed like a lifetime, they finally were able to get her heart rate normal and turned off my pitocin.

Shortly after that the doctor came in and told me I really needed to consider a c-section. This was the one thing I never wanted but at this point I was in so much pain and was so scared for my LO's health that I knew she needed to come out.

Once she was out she had the biggest cone head I've ever seen on a newborn poor thing! She was so beautiful though and healthy! She was 7lbs 7oz and 19in long. She has my husband's red hair but looks just like me when I was a baby! She is nursing great and I can already tell she's a Daddy's girl!

Aw, congratulations! Sorry things didn't go the way you had hoped but glad that she and you are both healthy and safe. Smile

Aw that sounds scary! Glad everything worked out in the end and that you have a beautiful girl now! Your pic isn't showing up for me--I'm sure that red hair is adorable!
