Hello All! Okay, now we seem to be leaning towards LD issues with my 4yo son. We have been to countless therapists, docs. etc and he is basically delayed. Shows no signs of ASDs but does show he has a LD. It's hard for him to retain stuff and stay focused. He is dayled in speech and motor planning. He is 4 can't yet write his name. Does talk a lot now and knows how to count to 20 and knows all colors but can't hold pencil correctly or color for long due to low tone. Anyone dealing with this? I am planning on putting him in self contained kindy mainly because I think he will be lost in a 20 plus class size. I know inclusion is great for various reasons, rold modeling being one but again, I think he needs a much smaller class setting. We havge a year to think about this but still, this is what we see now. I don't know what his future holds but I do recall a few friends of mine is special class when they were younger who turned out to do well later on and I guess it's all I can hope for. Not sure what I am looking for you to say here...LOL. Thanks for listening!
