Can you return the car seat? Personally, I'd rather use the Mini than a snap and go. The Mini is compatible with Graco, Peg Perego, Maxi Cosi, Evenflo, and Chicco brand infant car seats. Safety 1st car seats are compatible with their own strollers and not much else.
I would return the car seat and get one that is compatible with the adapter. The adapter is compatible with peg perego, maxi cosi, chicco, graco, and evenflo.
If returning it is not an option, baby trend has a new snap n go stroller called the Snap N Go EX Universal Car Seat Carrier that is compatible with Safety First car seats. The regular snap n go stroller is not compatible with safety 1st.
The other option is that if you don't mind not using the car seat in the stroller, you can use the city mini without it from birth. City Mini's have a near flat incline and are approved for infant use. I have a city mini double and that's what I did because I didn't want to spend the extra money on getting an adapter. I just but an infant snuzzler and I used it with my DD from birth. It worked great.

I forgot about the bolded, sorry. I like this stroller for that very reason. I'm not a fan of using car seats on strollers anyhow.
Thank you!!! I did not know that you can use the stroller with an infant.. that is a great idea because I do have the infant snuzzler.. someone just mentioned that the car seat is easier because you don't have to wake the baby.. Thank you all for the input and will look into returning and or snap n go
