I love it pronounced Ah-nah-stah-see-yah. It sounds ridiculous with our McLastname though. I don't think it's too frilly on its own, but it would depend on the mn it was paired with. I think Anastasia Juliet might be a bit too much name, but Anastasia Jane gets a thumbs up from me.

You read my mind! haha I was just thinking that we would use Anastasia Jane as opposed to Juliet. I'm glad to know it's a good choice!
I like Anastasia, but I wouldn't use it. I prefer shorter names. I would pronounce it Ahn, just like I would Anya...which would be a cute nn for Anastasia.
I'm in the "Loved it before 50 Shades of Grey" camp. The book really ruined it for me. The character in question is seriously the WORST character in any book I've ever read, ever. (Not to mention that a story I wrote about My Little Ponies when I was 8 was probably better written than that trash.)

I think it is really, really pretty. I like names with lots of syllables so I don't think it is too much.
I pronounce it Ah-nah-stah-cee-ah. I think Ana would be a better NN than Anna.
I know Ah-nah-stah-see-ah is the Russian way. I think the more English way to say it is Ann-ah-stay-sha.
of Fifty Shades.
I love it!
I pronounce it the Americanized way, and I think Anna/Annie works great as a nickname.
Not too much name at all IMO, although I do like "big" names.

This. I think "Ann-uh-stayz-shuh"

That said, I prefer the Ahn pronunciation.
I didn't make the 50 Shades connection (didn't read those). I love the name. I like either pronunciation.
I know two IRL. One is Latvian, prn. Ahh-nah-STASS-ee-ahh. The other goes by Stasi (which she pronounces like Stacy).
Ugh, I didn't realize that the main character in 50 Shades is named Anastasia. I hope it doesn't rise in popularity because of that!
We would likely pronounce it with ANN in the beginning though I like Russian pronunciation too.
I'm glad to know it's a usable name, though! I was worried it would be too frilly, but it sounds like it's well liked!
ANNastasia. AHNastasia sounds pretentious IMO but I'm sure some people will try to pronounce it like that.
LOVE it! As well as Anna or Ann as a nickname there is also Tacey, which I think is adorable.
