Which agency to use?

Hi All,
With so many agencies available I am feeling overwhelmed. We've met with one so far and just didn't "click". Who have you used and would you recommend them to others?

Where are you located?  We're in FL and are using Heart of Adoptions. They have several locations throughout the state.  We love them!

We are in MN but would work with an organization outside our state if it seemed right for us. Thanks for the tip!

Our agency, Bethany Christian Services has two offices in Minnesota. One in Plymouth and one in Willmar.

Ellekae, what can you tell me about your experience with Bethany? I contacted them this morning and first impressions were good. We're thinking of attending their info session.

I love them so far. In fact, they are the only agency we contacted. The SW we are working with is great, very helpful and attentive. It usually only takes 2 or 3 days to hear back from her if I ask a question. Their whole application process is online, and the system is organized and easy to use. I had a few tech glitches at the beginning, but they were fixed within 48 hours with no data loss.

I didn't love the info meeting. The director was certainly passionate about the cause and very knowledgeable, but she wasn't a great speaker. The info packet they gave out was the same one they sent in the mail to me, so that wasn't super helpful. Thanks, I am having really good feelings about Bethany. We are meeting with them and at least one more agency and then we will get started! So excited to finally be moving towards a family! Also, thanks for the link to your blog. It is very helpful to read about others experiencing the same thing.
