won't go to bed before midnight?

is anyone else's LO's bedtime after midnight? i have tried so many times to get her down earlier (10pm, 11pm), but she refuses! it doesn't help that her "witching hour" starts at 9pm though...ugh. last night i tried to get her down at like 8:45 after a feeding in hopes of skipping witching hour, but it didnt work. she actually went to bed, but 30 min later she woke up, then i got her back down again, but then she woke up again 20 min later, and she just stayed up screaming on and off until midnight, where she then slept until 4 (i usually only get 3 hours of her sleeping, not 4). 

am i doing something wrong? i would really love to get her to go to sleep earlier so that my husband and i could spend some alone time together. when she goes to bed at midnight, i have to go to bed with her right away too! for my own sleep/sanity! should i keep trying to put her down at 8:45 and eventually she will do it?

Yep, same story! Awake and fussing from 9 to midnight almost every night. It was much worse though when she had the schedule of crying and fussing from midnight to 3 am - that lasted for almost a month and drove me insane... So compare to that 9 to 12 window is not that bad.

Mine is up from 9-anywhere between 12-2.  This has been for the past week.  I thought I was the only one.  Glad to know I'm not alone

Have you tried putting her down before her usual witching hour? Like 7:30-8:30ish? We do bathtime at 7:30, eat at 8, and then bed between 8-9 and he usually goes down...and he used to be a baby up until 1 or 2!

last night was the first night i attempted to put her down before the witching hour, but i'm going to try again tonight with a bath beforehand, like you mentioned wish me luck! thanks!
