I want #3 but I have to wait

Just wanted to get it off my chest because I keep thinking about it!! Talk about baby fever.

We had 2 under 2 and we are just now getting into a groove and sleeping, etc.  so my husband wants to wait until they are both in school, which is fine.  We also have some marital stuff going on, which definitely needs to be worked out.

I guess baby fever doesn't care about your personal issues you have to work out though lol.

Just wanted to vent and hope maybe it would help to get rid of some of the fever.  I can't talk to anyone else about it so I thought maybe some of you ladies would understand.

Baby fever is intense. I never understood when friends would say they had baby fever. Now I get it! I have it bad too girl! Everytime I get ahead of myself I tell myself to stop and enjoy this exact moment I have with my baby girl. Because if I continue to think oh I miss when she was a little thing, I will really miss whats happening now...

Hang in there... You can always talk to us about it.

I want #2 but we also have marital stuff to work out and DH is a SAHD so he is just not ready for #2....but that doesnt stop the fever!

I'm with you too...we have 2 little boys and DS2 just started STTN...I want one more but DH is wanting to be done...we are still talking about it.  I hope you work everything out!

This is great advice! Also, use this new groove to tackle the issues you mentioned. It sounds like it is the healthiest time to do so. when the whole family is working well AND healthy, then an addition to the family is that much sweeter. Good luck

I've had baby fever for six months and we decided to start TTC#2 next month.  I've just used this time to enjoy my DS,  get in better shape  and I remind myself of all the things I can enjoying doing while not pregnant or with an infant.

Well we kind of grew apart and we are working on things.  There are multiple things, but no big deal breakers.  Things are somewhat better, but not perfect.  So I agree about the realistic timeline and just spending time with my girls.

Right there with you! I so desperately want #2, but DH is not ready yet. He is trying to get a new job, and says we can talk about it if/when he does. And of course, that doesn't make the baby fever stop either! It is so hard.

Pare you serious? You sound like my sister in law! She has four boys, all within a little over five years apart. She would have another! You ladies must be super women!!!

I'm in a very similar situation, kid-wise but I'm not totally sure I want a 3rd.  My baby fever isn't so bad.  My older son just turned 3 today and our younger one is 20 months.  If we ever do have a 3rd, I definitely want it to be a few years from now.  Maybe your kids are super awesome, but mine keep me plenty busy and I think I might go a little crazy trying to take care of 3 kids.  I miss having a newborn, but I also know how much work it would be right now to have a 3rd.  I agree with your DH- maybe you don't need to wait til your kids are quite in school, but you might be happier if you wait a few years.  Just hang in there.  I think when you do get your 3rd baby, you'll be glad you waited.
