SPD- Tonsillectomy and Potty Training?

So much going on. DS has SPD and has a surgery scheduled on Oct. 10. I am due to have a baby girl sometime after Thanksgiving.

Anyway my question is, when to potty train? He is ready, showing all the signs and lots of interest. Tells me he when he goes pee and poop. Do I train him now? Even though he is having surgery in 1 month? I am worried he may regress because of the pain. And I'm nervous of his recovery with SPD. Should I wait until after the surgery, which would put us in the window of when the baby is due?

I want him to succeed and not set him up for failure. So when would be the perfect time to potty train?

My 2u2 are 16 months apart

    There is definitely no perfect time to potty train. He is showing the signs now so I would start now and then follow his cues. If he is way overwhelmed then back off.
