I still give my DS 3 bottle of WCM. Is this too much or still recommended? I give 2 before naps and one before bed. My next step is to move to sippys full time. When you transitioned, did you just offer milk at meals? Did your Lo have trouble falling asleep when they were always used to going down that way? Just looking for experiences and ideas. I hate the whole cold turkey so I would rather cut down step by step.
Re: 14 mos. and 3 bottles
2 years, 2 surgeries, 2 clomid fails, 2 IUIs, 1 loss, IVF #1 - 10/25/10 = BFP!, DS is now 3.5yrs!
TTC #2 - 6/12 surgery #3, FET #1 & 1.2 = BFN, 12/2012 FET #2 = BFP! DD is 1.5 yrs!
Surprise! 12/16/14 BFP, loss #2 12/31/14
I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929
we introduced WCM only in sippy's. I didn't want him to get used to having it in the bottle and become more attached to his bottle. He gets one bottle an evening now of toddler drink an hour before bed to signify the start of his night time routine.
We graually lengthened the time between bottle and nap/bed time and let him try and fall asleep on his own. It took a little longer to get him first used to it, but it did get better and now he easily naps without it. We are not as successfull with the night bottle yet. It seems he still needs it
I am totally going through this as well, so I'm keeping an eye on this thread!
Currently, when she's home, we'll give her bottles before naps and one before bed. She takes two bottles at DC. One around 9AM, and one around 3. However, she has pretty much always been on one nap at DC (she's there 3x a week). We are definately getting ready to transition to one nap a day at home. I think I'll start to ask DC to give her milk at meals in a sippy. Right now she drinks water with meals in a sippy. However, I'm holding on to the nighttime bottle as long as I can. It's my favorite time of day.
