XP: Going to a Party 2 days before RCS

Would you go? My RSC is scheduled for Monday and my nephew's first birthday party would be the Saturday before. It would be a 45 minute or so drive, and I'd be within an hour of the hospital, and I'd just be sitting down the entire party. I doubt we'd even stay the entire time. I'm wondering if I'm being crazy by thinking I could go.

Why wouldn't you be able to go?

I'd go as long as I was feeling okay and not contracting. Waiting for an RCS isn't any different from waiting for a baby to come any other way.

I did a whole lot more driving/exercising around my EDD. I can't see any harm in a 45 minute drive to sit down all afternoon.

I would go. I went to a party three days before my induction date. Not a big deal in my mind.

Repeat c/s was on a Wednesday and I had a bridal shower that Saturday before, 2 hours away.  I was fine.  I'm part of the wedding party but I didn't have to do anything.  I just sat around and ate lots of good food all day.  It was yummy!  I was tired by the end of the day but it was alright.
