any tricks how to get her to take it? I have tried hiding it in her food and she spits it out. When I try to give it to her by itself she freaks out. HELP!
What foods have you tried? Some things it just doesn't mix well with. We always used pudding.... Any flavor worked for us. I would mix about 2 tablespoons of pudding with DDs dosage of meds. She had ear infections constantly around one to one and a half, do we became very familiar with the Augmentin war! Also, if that doesn't work, you can take it to your pharmacy and they can flavor it for you (at least my pharmacy will) Good luck!
DD started fighting any meds at about 15 months, so I know what a battle it can me. I usually hide medicine in applesauce or yogurt. Sometimes, I can get her to drink the medicine out of a medicine cup, but I can pretty much count on her not taking meds from a dropper.
My girls didn't mind augmentin, but oh they hate omnicef! We had to squirt it as far back in their mouth as possible, between their cheek and gums/molars, to bypass as many taste buds as possible, then blow gently on their face to get them to swallow. I usually did it in three or four squirts rather than all at once.

I can't remember which one of the antibiotics DD used to spit out. It was a battle! I took it back to the pharmacy and had them add the "grape" flavoring. It was like $2 or something, and WELL worth it!
Agree with pps, have the pharmacy flavor it, even if it already came with flavor!! Then squirt it in the very back of her cheek with a syringe (the bulb kind doesn't work as well, get the syringe!) Don't take the syringe out of her mouth until it's all swallowed either. We did this for months with DS and his acid reflux Zantac meds - they tasted awful!

this. And slightly tilt the head back so they have to swallow. GL!
