We need to do an international adoption course before we can even start anything. Unfortunately the closest course that is offered is 5+ hours away (luckily they only do Saturday courses) and it's only offered once a month - alternating cities. One city is 5 hours away, the other is 8. We have been busy with pre-booked stuff every Saturday the course was offered until November and now we just had to book that Saturday up too. I'm just a little bit frusterated that this course just keeps getting pushed further & further back.

Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here?
After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program.
Homestudy complete July 19
USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13!

I'd definitely look into this before committing to drive such a long distance!

Nope no online course. There are only 3 agencies in my province and they are all located in those two cities so regardless we have to take the course there. The agency we are going with at least has a home study rep here so when we go to do our home study, it's local. The distance however is normal. We do that trip (5 hours) probably 4 or 5 times a year at least just because we want to so the trip itself isn't the problem, it's the fact that we have to push it back yet again.
