Hcg Levels

I just got my results backs from Friday and my hcg level was at 137. I think I am about 5-6 weeks pregnant but I could be wrong. I know you can't trust hcg levels to confirm how far along you are. Has anyone else had lower than "expected" hcg levels, especially when they were around 5-6 weeks pregnant? I just need some reassurance that there are others out there that have been in a similar situation.

    You can't tell anything with only one measurement.  You really need two done to ensure the levels are rising appropriately (should double within 48-72 hours).  The numbers by themselves don't mean anything.

    Both pp got it right... you need another draw to compare.

    I had blood drawn today so I will know my results tomorrow. I will have had a good 4 days between the two draws so I know my levels should at least have doubled if not increased more.

     I had mind done this morning also. Will get the results by this afternoon? Are they having you wait 4 days between tests? I think if mine is positive, like i think it will be, I will have another in 2 days. Is that typical?

    I had to wait 4 days between my blood draws because of the holiday weekend. Right now I have just been going to my family doctor and getting blood draws for my own sanity. I will probably go back Thursday or Friday just to make sure my levels continue to go up. I know that the levels should at least double every 2-3 days, so that's what I am looking for. I don't have my first OB appt until the 11th. I like the idea of being able to give my OB a week's worth of levels before seeing him.

    My HCG level was 150 at almost 5 weeks!!! When I went to the first ultrasound, I thought they were going to tell me for sure that i was way earlier than expected, but the ultrasound confirmed I was right on with my LMP!! Let me know what your first ultrasound says. GOOD lUCK AND YOU ARE FINE!!!
