Just wanted to see if anyone with a thin uterus or scar tissue has any successful stories about l&d and recovery. I've had 3 c/s and during my last one, my OB said that the bottom portion of my uterus was thin and that I had scar tissue. I told her prior to delivery that DH and I would consider a 4th if that time ever came. So she told me that what she did was sew the two thickest portions of my uterus together and "removed the scar tissue."
During my 6w PP check up, she said that if I wanted a 4th, she wouldn't tell me not to but she would refer me to a high risk OB. I wouldn't want to have a 4th until my youngest is at least in kinder. But i'm still a little scared and thinking of stopping already.
So...any stories out there?
Re: Ever been told you have a thin uterus, but still got pregnant?
No advice or experience, but I am in the same exact position.
I just had my third c/s a few weeks ago, and my uterus was thinned out on the bottom. My DH and I were considering a 4th down the line (we weren't sure either way if we were done after DD or not, but I hate the idea of the choice being taken away from me), but now we're not sure how safe/unsafe it would be for me and the baby.
I plan on discussing this in-depth with my OB at my 6 week pp appt., then putting the info. away so to speak for a few years, and then I'll go from there, I guess.
Good Luck!
This exactly. We had 99% decided no more kids, but now that I was told the top of my uterus was extremely dangerously thin, it's no longer my decision. I was told if I had gone into labor before my c/s, my uterus could've burst.
