Stroller for two

Hi,

I have 1.8 year old baby and his sister will join us somewhere next month :)

We have the baby jogger city mini, but I want to buy a stroller that I'll be ale to use for both of them.

Ill be happy to get any recommendations:)

Re: Stroller for two

  • I like our sit and stand.  It's a little heavy, but it was a hand me down and works well for us.

  • Won't work for an infant, but we have this (cheap) double.  We bought it for a trip, and I love it!  Easy to drive, fits through doors, lightweight, great.

  • We have a city select. It is a single that can convert to a double with stadium seating (second kid isn't taking up your basket space), can be used with a car seat attachment, or we got a glider board which is great for short trips and a toddler who won't sit in a stroller.

I also have a city mini GT (side by side) for more rugged or longer trips and is what I prefer with two toddler weighing the exact same and like to harass each other in the city select but it is BIG and heavy.

  • Do you think both of them feel comfortable in the city select?
  • Ya it works great and both sit comfortably. You can arrange the seats in different ways each time. My issue was when we went to Disneyland DS was already napping and DD was throwing a tantrum and trying to kick the back of his seat. She was so overtired! DS also tries to grab his sister's hair sometimes.

It is a great everyday stroller. Quick errands I use it as a single with the glider board, when at the mall I use it as a double but don't feel like I'm hauling a tank if only one kid is in it. It has a huge basket and the kids love it when both seats face each other or one faces me and the other the street  but when we go to the farm or amusement parks I like my side by side. My complaints about my side by side is it is soo heavy, it fits in a standard doorframe but no an inch to spare, and basket space is awful....I purchased a special diaper bag just for that stroller.

Lastly in our area CS strollers go used for over $500 and sell really quick. We couldn't even get one used. The resale value holds.

  • I love our PhilTed stroller.
  • I have a Combi Twin Sport and love it. It was fairly cheap compared to most doubles but it's been perfect. My Graco infant seat fit perfectly when DD was a baby.

  • We got a Baby Trend Sit and Stand. It came highly recommended by some of my friends, plus it's better priced than some of the others. I have not used it yet, as my LO is due next month too. I'm looking forward to using it though!

  • Thanks everybody!
  • We have the joovy caboose ultralight.  It is great for my kids now - 16 months and 4 years, but terrible for when my DS was still in the infant car seat.  With the infant car seat the child in the back has to sit at like a 45 degree angle.  Super annoying.  So, I wished often that I had the side by side ones.
