I think it was from Blueberries, which he LOVES... happened twice.
Did anyone else have that problem? Also, if it happens with blueberries, will it (likely) happen with any other fruits? Someone told me that pineapple would likely do it, too? We haven't tried strawberries or raspberries yet. He had HONEYDEW for breakfast this morning with his yogurt and oatmeal and I'm really hoping he doesn't get another rash...
What clears it up for you? I am using avenoo and it seems to be better every day, but there were actual SORES on his bum so it's taking awhile... He's not nearly as uncomfortable as he was a few days ago (screaming and crying with every diaper change!)...

Re: REALLY bad diaper rash...
Ditto the baking soda bath. Followed by tons of naked time.
Desitin bath also works amazingly well.
When we have really bad rash I cornstarch her butt before the diaper. Works better than anything else I've tried. I don't always mind cream and use them often but we once had such a bad rash that layers upon latyer of cream wasn't letting the moisture out or the dry air in so it just stayed stagnant.
I've never had a problem with blueberries specifically (other than freaking out for a second because it looked black) but anything acidic can irritate their skin if they sit in it for too long. I worry more about tomatoes and sauce when he already is a little red.
Baking soda baths, fresh water and cloth wipes during diaper changes (wipes can have alcohol in them and make it even more painful), coconut oil (naturally anti microbial and soothes), and A&D cream are my go to cures. If he has diarrhea and it might have a yeast component I add a little Lotrimin or gold bond. And triple antibiotic on those painful sores so they don't get any worse.

This is what I was going to say too. We also used wet washcloths instead of wipes until it cleared. Multiple baths per day, and lots of diaper free time. Plus, make we checked him a few times a night for poopy diapers. If he had one, we would get him up to change it so he would not be sleeping with a poopy diaper.
