At DS' 9 month appointment Wednesday, she said he had 4 top teeth coming in with one about to break through. It still hasn't come in and my poor boy seems to be really bothered with them. He's cranky, having trouble sleeping and messing with his ears a lot. He's not running a fever. I've been giving him Highland Teething Tablets, but they don't seem to be helping. My friend (who doesn't have kids) suggested I give him Tyenol. He's never had any and I'm not sure if teething warrants it. Thoughts?
Re: Tylenol for teething?
my read shelf:
I give ibuprofen for teething instead of tylenol. I think it works better for teething. Ibuprofen is also an anti-inflammatory unlike tylenol.
The teethers you put in the freezer and just a cold wash cloth are very helpful too.
There are also those mesh food holders that you put food in. I put ice cubes and frozen fruit in them when she is teething and she loves it.
