Tide question

RNG is not working for me and IF I get the stink out I want to switch detergents. I'm going to try switching to Tide, but I'm confused.  I thought I read Original Tide powder was what I wanted to use, but I can only find the Ultra.  Same thing?  Anyone know how much to use for HE front loader with hard water?  TIA

Re: Tide question

  • Regular Tide (the original) is no longer made.  Ultra is what you want.  Not sure about how much for an HE front loader, but I use 2 Tbs in my top loader, so that would be too much for you.  We had the same stink issue with RNG, and Tide was our solution.  Love it.

  • I use Tide Ultra HE for my diapers in my front loader. I fill the scoop to a little below the 1 line and have had no issues. My water is normal, though, so you may need to adjust with hard water (though I don't know in which direction!).

  • I just had the same issue last week.  I used Tide Ultra Free and Clear and also Clorox 2 Free and Clear. I washed them on the sanitize cycle and put them in the dryer instead of air drying them and they FINALLY don't stink!  I'm hoping that using Tide from now on is the answer, I used 2T for our HE washer and that seemed to work, for the bleach I just filled the cap to the first line.
