Anyone else sick of the advertising

I'm thinking of jumping ship.  Now random words are made into clickies for advertising purposes.  Has anyone tried hovering over them??  Like they don't make enough money as it is they have to invade our posts.

    I'm not a fan of the mobile site. I also don't like ads and it's annoying to see a portion of the sublect line. There's no button to take you back to the top and no siggies.

    Its happening to me and my SIL.nbsp; Random words in posts are double underlined and if you hover your mouse over them a popup comes up with advertising.nbsp; I understand they make their money through ads, but couldn't they just put an advertising line at the END of each post instead of IN the posts. This shouldn't be happening and it isn't a normal bump thing. I'd be happy to mention this on the mod board....but I can't get there from the mobile site and I cancelled our home internet about a week ago.

    You may want to check your computer. I don't have this going on with either the Nest or the Bump. You likely have something on your computer. 

    This entire site exists to create advertising revenue. You are naive if you think otherwise.

     

    Yeah this. I had the same problem awhile ago (not with TB but with other sites) and thought it was the site until I realized it wasn't happening on DH's computer. Sure enough, it was a virus.

    Yep it is on your end. It happened to me because of a firefox ADD ON. So I would clean up your computer or browser and it should be ok.

    ..yeah...we've had this when we've both downloaded something, or one of us has downloaded something, and then inadvertently shared it via email.

    It's not the site, it's you.  Try running some anti-malware software and see if you can figure out what it is.  Good luck!
