We have been using Pampers for the last 13 mon. All of a sudden DS is leaking in his size 4's. I know the size 5's are way too big so it dosent seem like a size issue. I think I am ready for a brand change. Any suggestions? I have heard some diapers work better based on gender. ??? TIA
Re: diaper brand change
When are they leaking? Night? If so, try the Pampers Extra Protection (aka "night diapers") diapers. I've also found that Huggies now work on DS. They leaked like a sieve on him when he was younger. While he's still skinny, he's fattened up enough that the Huggies fit better. Huggies are also smaller, so you'll need to go by weight for sizing. DS wears a 3 in Pampers and a 4 in Huggies.
Off brand diapers (Up & Up, Walmart) don't last very long on DS. We can go about 4-5 hours max during the day with Pampers Baby Dry, but we're pushing it to go 2 hours in the off brand ones. Granted, I normally change him every 2-3 hours during the day, but if we're out and about or if he naps for more than an hour and I didn't change him right before the nap, I don't change him as often and the off brands leak on us.
